These are 3 of 6 croquis figures in my most recent design collection, Attack of the 50 ft. Schoolgirl. I posted to mood page a coupla days ago, and finally got my illustrations scanned and ready to go! Check out the other 3 croquis figures and my flats and swatch pages.

I use Prismacolor markers and colored pencil on Bien-Fang marker paper... though Chart-Pak markers are probably going to be your best bet. They are oil based, which means they will mix with the Pantone markers also... and that opens up a HUGE color range for you. They also seem more easily workable on the marker paper... But I myself have no problem with Prismacolor markers. The only thing is that Prismas are water-based, so they don't mix with any of the other marker brands (limiting your direct-color range). I use a white china marker and Pro-White paint to add highlights, and a Micron pigma pen to do any outlining (super fine, like #005). Gouache can also come in handy! The key to all of this is the marker paper, just make sure you buy a high-quality paper like the Bien-Fang. :)
